Mango Tajín Electrolyte Popsicles (No Added Sugar, Whole Foods Based)
Spicy, sweet and hydrating, these refreshing popsicles are reminiscent of those delicious cups of fresh mango and tajin you can along the beach in Mexico. Made with Drip Drop electrolyte powder, these juicy popsicles are not only free of added sugar but also help replenish lost electrolyte and minerals during the hot summer day.

We love a proper sweet treat in this house, but now with a wellness-focused twist. These Mango Tajín Electrolyte Popsicles are naturally sweetened by using the ripest mangos you can find, packed with vitamin C and gut-friendly fiber, and supplemented with clean electrolytes to help you stay hydrated, balanced, and refreshed on a hot afternoon.
Whether you are winding down after a long walk or looking for a summertime anti-inflammatory treat that won’t spike your blood sugar, these popsicles are the perfect snack to cool down with.

The Best Mango Popsicles
Enjoying a popsicle on a hot summer day – especially in Arizona is sometimes just necessary! But if you’re dealing with NAFLD or metabolic syndrome, our lifestyle changes don’t leave a lot of room for sugar and sweets. If I do opt to have something sweet, I try to make sure it’s always naturally sourced and combined with some kind of digestive buffer, especially fiber.
These popsicles are healthy and packed with vitamins, minerals and importantly fiber, which helps to moderate the sugar from the mango. But one important factor of sustaining long term healthy eating habits is that the food needs to taste good too!
By testing out different ratios of mango puree to liquid, this recipe achieves that perfect dense bite of a fruit popsicle without tons of added sugar or gums.
Why You Will Love These Popsicles
- Delicious Mexican-inspired flavor: Sweet, ripe mango gets a punch of savory heat from Tajín and a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Once you try it you won’t be able to get it out of your mind!
- Built-In Hydration: Instead of refined sugars and artificial dyes, we are using coconut water and Drip Drop electrolyte powder (I am using the peach flavor here) to naturally replenish your electrolytes.
- Gut Friendly & Nourishing: Mangoes are rich in fiber and antioxidants like beta-carotene, while lime and electrolytes aid digestion and support proper balance of water in the body.
- Zero Cooking Required: Just blend, pour, and freeze!

What You’ll Need To Make Mango Tajin Popsicles
- Mango: Find the ripest mango possible and make sure it is soft to the touch. Not only does it provide natural sweetness, but the sugar content in the mango provide a better texture for the popsicles when freezing.
- Tajin: You can use name brand Tajin or another chili-lime alternative like the Trader Joes Chili Lime seasoning.
- Lime: A squeeze of fresh lime juice adds a pleasant tang to liven up the mango flavor, and natural preserving factor to these popsicles so they stay tasting fresh in the freezer!
- Coconut water: A natural source of electrolytes, we use a small splash of coconut water to thin out the mango mixture so it is pourable.
- Electrolyte powder: Drip Drop is my preferred powder since it is sugar-free, but you can use any electrolyte powder you have on hand. Some flavors I would recommend are : peach, pineapple, mango, lemon-lime and passionfruit!
Mango Tajín Electrolyte Popsicle Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups ripe fresh mango, peeled and chopped
1 cup unsweetened coconut water
Juice of 2 large limes (about 3 tablespoons of fresh lime juice)
1 packet of Drip Drop peach flavored sugar-free electrolyte powder
Tajín (Chili Lime Seasoning) about 1 to 2 tablespoons for layering and rimming
Instructions
In a high-powered blender, combine the frozen mango chunks, coconut water, fresh lime juice, sweetener (if using), and sea salt. Blend on high until completely smooth and creamy. You want a thick, luscious puree—if it’s too thick for your blender to catch, splash in another tablespoon or two of coconut water.
Sprinkle a tiny pinch of Tajín directly into the bottom of each individual popsicle mold cavity.
Pour the mango puree into your molds, leaving a tiny bit of space at the top. For an extra kick, you can sprinkle a light layer of Tajín right down the center of the mold halfway through pouring, or save the heavy dusting for the moment you pull them out of the freezer.
Insert your popsicle sticks and transfer the molds to the freezer. Let them freeze solid for at least 4 to 6 hours (overnight is best).
Run the outside of the popsicle molds under warm water for 10 to 15 seconds to loosen them up. Gently pull the popsicles out and serve right away, or wrap them and store them in the freezer to serve at a later time.
