Sesame Goji Granola for Long Healthy hair

The addictive combination of crunchy spiced oats, chewy goji berries and earthy black sesame make this unique granola health centered but still delicious. It's amazing sprinkled over Greek yogurt and sliced bananas, and makes a delightful and reliable snack when camping and hiking!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or almonds
  • ½ cup raw shelled pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp cinnamon or apple pie spice
  • 3 tbsp black sugar Okinawan kurozato or Chinese black sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp light olive oil or avocado oil
  • ¼ cup goji berries

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, cinnamon, black sugar and oil. Mix thoroughly to ensure the oats are evenly tossed in the oil.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the oat mixture out into a single even layer.
  • Bake at 350F for 20 minutes until golden brown. Halfway through the baking, give the oats a toss to ensure even toasting.
  • In the last 3-4 minutes of baking, add the goji berries to the oat mixture.
  • Remove the granola from the oven and allow it to complete cool. Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
